Hilary is actively looking for sponsors to help build this unique boat. There will be advertising space available on the hulls for the
Round Britain Challenge.

Her Channel crossing exploits earned Pindar, who sponsored the boat, an award for the most advertising space won by any single campaign.

Hilary would like to thank:

UKSA, who came on board early on with offers of help including training both at their centre in Cowes and at Hilary's home in Kent. They have supported her from the very beginning, and their enthusiasm and excitement is infectious. They continue to support her, providing onshore training and "bed and board" for herself, her husband and her dog! In return, Hilary has been invited to become an ambassador for UKSA, and was delighted to accept.

Pindar, who generously lent Hilary "Malin" for the Channel crossing as well as providing a support boat and their own ship, "Hatherley", for the crossing itself. They allowed us to drill holes in Malin where holes are not supposed to be foundin boats, and were particularly helpful moving the boat around the country and rigging it at strange hours of the night! Without them the day of the channel crossing simply would not have come together.

Westbere Sailing Opportunities, without whom Hilary would never have discovered sailing. Without WSO, this dream would not have been born, let alone achieved. They may have thought Hilary was mad when she first suggested sailing the Channel, but they disguised it very well, and were completely supportive from day one. They even allowed Hilary to blindfold them whilst they sailed her around the lake so that they "Only did what they were told" and "stopped fiddling"!!! It was the nearest Hilary came to sailing on her own until a week before the crossing.
